It's a good time to look back at what the Occupy America Social Network (OASN) has done, so far, and think about where we should be going from here.  It is hard to believe that OASN and Occupy Wall Street (OWS) began only four months ago. 

In that short time, the Occupation movement has achieved unbelievable results.  Even Time magazine, (despite periodic news blackouts and blizzards of misinformation) recognized Occupy Protesters as their “Person of the Year.”

We have momentum - this site is a clearinghouse for Occupation news and issues.  We hope to expand coverage of the Occupation Movement in the coming year, including interviews and radio/podcasts.

Our membership, right now, is maxed out at 150 members.  As of today, we had 200 new members requesting approval, and that number will rise.  Increased site membership, however, will require an upgraded server cost of $239.90/year, billed via PayPal.  Right now, we can’t afford the upgrade.

Until we can afford to add extra OASN members, we can get more of our members actively contributing.  A very small percentage of membership is contributing the material on this site.  Increasing our coverage will require a lot more content.

Just reading this site requires no Membership log in.  Membership is still free, but if you can’t actively contribute material, we appreciate your support, and ask that you temporarily suspend membership until we can afford to get more members.

An email is going out to all our members, asking that active members should check-in with a comment on this blog, by February 15th .  As soon as we can afford to increase our membership, we will try to get back in touch with suspended members, because we desperately need your voice here.  We appreciate your patience – thanks for Standing.
